September 1-4, 2011 ERAHC Classic Breed Show Regional Championships, Lexington, VA The ANCCE-sanctioned show planned in conjunction with our Classic breed show is heating up! Our ANCCE judge will be Rafael Ortiz Alcalá-Zamora. Remember Dr. Ortiz from last fall's World Equestrian Games. He is a member of the Spanish Olympic dressage team and two-time winner of the Spanish national championship for dressage. Like another well-known ANCCE judge, Dr. Ortiz is also a veterinarian and Clinician. We are making arrangements for an opportunity to meet and speak with Dr. Ortiz following the ANCCE show on September 4th. Sat-Sun September 17-18th PIAFFE & PASSAGE Clinic, Phoenix, ArizonaLearn how to recognize, prepare, teach and develop a correct Piaffe & Passage in lightness.We will see a full set of exercises to prepare your horse to be ready to one day start both gaits. Next step will be to see HOW to start the Piaffe and how to start the Passage. Finally we will study how to develop those magnificent gaits. For all-level riders. For beginners it will give them the knowledge and a way to follow. For more advanced riders it will complete gaps of knowledge or technique and will give them the tools to analyze any problems their horse may have in those gaits. November 22 - 27, 2011 SICAB 2011—Sevilla, Spain SICAB is a trade show dedicated exclusively to Purebred Spanish Horses; each year the crowds throng the pavilion to the tune of 200,000 strong. No other event in the world is dedicated exclusively to a single breed that brings together such a large number of horses and no other event ties together a culture, a history that is intertwined so deeply with the horse. The event is held annually on the third week of November. A number of performances, demos, clinics and activities are held during the trade show with which a sample of the unique PRE characteristics that have been admired for centuries can be enjoyed. These activities include the Spanish National Conformation Championship, the ANCCE Dressage Cup, the ANCCE Doma Vaquera Cup, and the evening performance. Likewise, technical workshops are organized for both enthusiasts and veterinary specialists on a number of specific topics. The experience is unforgettable!
